WHEN DO I HAVE TO BE ON SIDE?
On Day 1 around noon.
The workshops will start at 1.30pm, the check in will be possible from 12pm (noon) on. As it is right now, it won't be possible to stay the night before but we recommend staying in Leipzig and then taking a 40 minute s-train to the location on the day of the LARP. There are also hotels in Zeitz that have been booked by participants of previous LARPs in this location and been found suitable when teaming up.
WHY DO WE ONLY START PLAYING ON DAY 2?
Our most important
reason for that is:
we don't want to forget that we
larp to meet new people
(or meet old friends we only
ever see on LARPs).
Often, we don't really have time to get to know the real people behind the characters we're playing with - so we want to facilitate all of us getting to meet each other properly before we start to play pretend for 2 days.
HOW DO I GET TO THE VENUE?
There are many, many options.
The closest big city is Leipzig, it is also where some of us organisers live – we highly recommend you stay a few days before or after to explore it!
Leipzig also has an airport but it's crap. The best would probably be to fly to Berlin and then take a 2 hours train to Leipzig. From there it's a 40 minute ride with a local train to Zeitz , where we play the LARP.
From the station in Zeitz, it's a 10 minute walk to the location! Fuck yeah, accessible with public transport!
If you have too much luggage to carry, you can of course take a cab or even split it with other participants.
We will try to arrange a pickup by a helper at Zeitz station for those who want to walk. Pickup will likely be at 11am of Day 1 of the LARP.
