NOVELS & INDIE RPG HIT BY OLIVIA HILL

#iHUNT - THE APP
Monster Hunting via #iHunt is gig based – orrather contract based, as it is being referred to on the app. Clients post contract listings on #iHunt, hunters take them on. Each contract gets a rating based on the supposed difficulty of the job – ranging from one to five stars. Higher paying gigs usually also have higher ratings.
As proof of fulfilment, a hunter has to take a selfie with the kill. After the client has got proof, they rate the hunter according to their perceived performance and the hunter gets paid.
The app was created and (allegedly) programmed by one Alexander Bennett, a young, fresh start-up entrepreneur and ex-hunter himself, who brought #iHunt first to the US and now wants to expand its market to Europe.
Bennett is a polarizing figure in the #iHunt community. Some hate him for capitalizing on monster hunting, some love him for supporting hunters and making the trade more accessible, but whether you like it or not, he changed the world of monster hunting significantly from being based on message boards
to his app.
Ever since the dawn of humanity there have been monsters and well, naturally, people who hunted those monsters. Before the internet, they used to learn from each other. With the rise of technology in the 80s, the first hunter message board started emerging, which was mostly used for tracking monsters and finding clients.
The beta version of #iHunt dropped in 2014 in the US, officially founded by Alexander Bennett, who is rumoured to have been a
former forum member. The app quickly grew in popularity over the following two years – in 2016 most contracts are either found on #iHunt or just straight up scams.

We are writing the year 2017 and by now #iHunt has taken over the market and built a monopoly on the hunting business in the US– if you want a contract, you better check the app. Entrepreneur Alexander Bennett has reached near god status in certain circles – his fans will go viciously after anyone who dares to utter any kind of criticism. Now he wants to bring the app overseas and take over the European hunting market.
